What is LEGO 45522?

LEGO Education 45522 is the U.S. product number for the Grades 6–8 Computer Science & AI Kit. It combines physical building, interactive hardware and Coding Canvas with 30 standards-aligned lessons designed around teams of four students.

Who it fits best

Best fit: middle-school classrooms, homeschool programs and coding or robotics clubs that need a reusable platform for sophisticated physical computing and are willing to use structured curriculum over many sessions.

Skip if: the learner is still at introductory sequencing or will mainly use the kit for casual building. The extra hardware and $529.95 price only make sense if the deeper programming path will be used.

The curriculum reaches functions
