What children do
Children pick berries, run them through the smoothie machine, feed Bulbasaur and Bidoof and then move into battle-oriented stories. That gives the set a gentler care-and-nurture angle before competitive play.
SMART Brick requirement
Both Pokémon contain SMART Tags, but 72155 is a Compatible set and does not include a SMART Brick. LEGO points families to All-in-One sets such as Pikachu 72164 or Charizard vs. Jolteon 72167 for the electronic hardware.
Value
For an existing SMART Play family, two tagged Pokémon at $19.99 make this one of the stronger value expansions. For a first-time buyer, the true interactive startup cost is higher because the Brick cannot be purchased as a standalone accessory.
Screen use
Physical building and core SMART Play interaction are screen-free. Adults may use the SMART Assist app for Brick support and updates. This is responsive electronic play, not generative AI.
